About Kerykeion

Kerykeion is an open-source astrology library focused on correctness, transparency, and long-term reliability. It provides the core calculations and data structures needed to build serious astrology software.

The project is 100% free software, released under the AGPLv3 license. All calculations, algorithms, and assumptions are fully open, auditable, and intended to be verifiable by anyone using the library.

Kerykeion is used in research projects, professional tools, and production systems. It prioritizes correctness and explicit design choices over visual layers or simplified interpretations.

I'm Giacomo, a software developer and astrologer. I created Kerykeion to provide a solid and reusable foundation for astrology software, without hiding logic behind black boxes or proprietary constraints.

Kerykeion is actively maintained and continues to evolve through real-world usage. Commercial services, integrations, and platforms can be built on top of it, as long as they respect the principles of free software.
